Cryptio alternatives: the 2026 comparison for finance teams

The short answer: Cryptio is an enterprise crypto accounting subledger for institutions on NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Xero, and QuickBooks, with quote-based pricing. The main alternatives are Breezing, Bitwave, Cryptoworth, SoftLedger, and Ledgible. For SMBs and accounting firms on Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Bexio, Breezing publishes pricing from $29 per month with unlimited wallets and users.
If you are researching Cryptio, you are probably choosing a crypto accounting subledger right now. Maybe you sat through the demo, saw the quote, and wondered what else is out there.
Breezing is our product. Every Cryptio fact below comes from Cryptio's own pages, checked on September 3, 2026. For the head-to-head alone, read Breezing vs Cryptio.
What is Cryptio?
As of September 2026, Cryptio describes itself as an "institutional data engine for accounting, reconciliation, fund admin and credit." Its homepage names its buyers: banks, exchanges, asset managers, stablecoin and token issuers, accounting firms, and fintechs. It says more than 400 institutions use the platform, including Circle and Gemini, and claims 150+ supported blockchains, exchanges, custodians, and DeFi protocols.
The ERP reach is the widest in the category. As of September 2026, Cryptio's integrations page lists NetSuite, Xero, and QuickBooks as native integrations, alongside SAP, Oracle Fusion, Sage, Dynamics 365, Workday, FinancialForce, and Request Finance. No other subledger we track connects to SAP or Oracle.
As of September 2026, Cryptio publishes SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II attestations, and in March 2026 it announced a $45 million Series B co-led by BlackFin Capital Partners and Sentinel Global. This is a platform built for regulated institutions with several entities and an audit committee.
Why finance teams look for Cryptio alternatives
Three things send them looking.
You cannot see the price. As of September 2026, Cryptio's pricing page lists Reconciliation, Accounting, and Audit as modules and offers a "zero-pressure consultation" to map your flow of funds before recommending a plan. No tiers, no numbers. Any figure you read online for Cryptio is somebody's quote, not a rate card.
Institutional depth you may not use. A platform built for banks carries procurement-grade sales cycles and configuration shaped around multi-entity consolidation. With one or two entities in Xero or QuickBooks Online, you pay for scope you never touch.
Firm economics turn into a conversation. Wallet counts and user seats decide whether a firm's next crypto client is profitable to serve. Cryptio's public pages put no numbers on either, so both land in the sales call. That is a slow way to price the fifteenth client of a bookkeeping practice.
Cryptio vs Breezing: side by side
Breezing is a Swiss-made crypto accounting subledger for SMBs, accounting firms, and CFO-led finance teams. Here is how the two compare on the criteria buyers ask about.

What Cryptio is built for
Cryptio's buyer is an institution. As of September 2026, its homepage names banks, exchanges, asset managers, stablecoin and token issuers, accounting firms, and fintechs, and its integrations page covers the ledgers those groups run: NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle Fusion. The SOC 1 attestation alongside SOC 2 Type II answers an audit committee that asks for both. The product is shaped around multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation at institutional scale, which is a different job from posting a month of wallet activity into a small-business ledger.
Where Breezing wins
The price is on the page. Breezing's pricing runs from $29 per month for 600 transactions to $2,917 per month for 1.5 million, with a custom Enterprise tier above that. You can budget the line item this afternoon, without a call.
Wallets and seats never meter. Every tier includes unlimited wallets and unlimited users. A client with 30 wallets costs a firm what a client with 3 costs, and the junior doing the reconciliation gets a login without anyone counting seats.
Invoices close in the ledger, with no clearing account. Most crypto subledgers post a USDC invoice payment to a clearing account that somebody unwinds at month end. Breezing closes the AP or AR invoice natively in Xero and QuickBooks Online, and among the subledgers we track it is the only one that does. The mechanics are in our guide to closing crypto invoices in QuickBooks and Xero.
Post-close corrections keep the audit trail. A forgotten wallet surfaces in March and affects December. Breezing updates the affected journal entries in place instead of deleting and reposting them, so the correction lands without a second set of numbers to explain.
Bexio syncs directly. If your entity is Swiss or EU and your accountant works in Bexio, Breezing posts there natively. No other tool in this post lists Bexio at all.
The rest of month end is covered. 80+ blockchains and exchanges, DeFi rewards accrual, opening balances so a mid-year migration reconciles, and cost-center sync so the numbers land in the right department. Breezing is SOC 2 Type II certified, a Swiss Made Software member, and a Xero partner.
Other tools you will see in this category
Five other names come up in most evaluations. We checked every pricing, integration, and certification line below against each vendor's own site on September 3, 2026. For more of the category, see our August 2026 roundup.
Bitwave is a crypto accounting platform sold by quote. As of September 2026, its pricing page splits buyers into Startups, Enterprises, and Institutions, each ending in "Talk to Sales," and its integrations page lists Intuit QuickBooks, Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and Xero with no SAP connection. Its security page states SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 attestations. More in Bitwave alternatives.
Cryptoworth serves mid-market teams on NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Xero. As of September 2026, its integrations page claims over 1,000 data connections across blockchains, exchanges, custodians, DeFi protocols, and other sources, and its pricing page routes both the Business Starter and Enterprise tiers to "Get a quote." An archived copy of that page from August 22, 2026 shows the starter tier then published at $300 per month for up to two seats and one entity. It is SOC 2 Type 2 certified. See Breezing vs Cryptoworth and Cryptoworth alternatives.
SoftLedger is a full general ledger with a digital assets module, built to replace Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite rather than feed them. It is the one enterprise-grade option here that publishes a number. As of September 2026, its pricing page starts at $13,500 per year for three users with unlimited entities, digital assets sold as an add-on. See Breezing vs SoftLedger.
Tres Finance is no longer standalone. Its homepage announces that Fireblocks has acquired it, and as of September 2026 it claims 220+ supported networks and exchanges. See Breezing vs Tres.
Ledgible targets US CPA firms and comes at crypto from the tax side. As of September 2026, its pricing page lists a tax product from $49, a free Tax Pro tier, and custom pricing for enterprise accounting. Its integrations page lists Xero, QuickBooks Online, and NetSuite, plus tax suites such as UltraTax CS and CCH Axcess. See Ledgible alternatives.
One caveat comes from our own competitive tracking rather than from a vendor page. We have not found native AP/AR invoice closure documented on any tool in this list except Breezing. If that workflow is what breaks your month end, it shortens the list on its own.
Which Cryptio alternative fits which team
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| SMB on Xero or QuickBooks Online | Breezing | Published pricing from $29 per month, unlimited wallets and users, invoices that close without a clearing account |
| Accounting firm serving several crypto clients | Breezing | Unlimited wallets and seats on every tier, so the fifteenth client costs what the first one did |
| Swiss or EU entity on Bexio | Breezing | The only Bexio integration in this post |
| General ledger is NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle | Not Breezing | Breezing posts to Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Bexio, and its Enterprise tier is custom-priced. A NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle ledger needs a subledger that posts there |
How to run this evaluation in a week
-
List the prices you can actually read. Breezing publishes its full tier list. Cryptio, Bitwave, and Cryptoworth quote on request, so those cells stay empty until a sales process ends.
-
Pull your last three months of transaction volume. Tiered pricing, Breezing's included, keys off transaction count, and a guess one order of magnitude out puts you on the wrong tier.
-
Test the workflow that hurts most. For most teams that is a USDC invoice payment, or a correction that lands after the period closed.
-
Score what is left on one sheet. Eight lines, 0 to 2 each, one column per tool.
- Published pricing. 2 if the full price list is on the site, 1 if only a starting price is, 0 if every plan routes to sales.
- ERP or ledger connection. 2 if it posts to your general ledger natively, 1 if it exports a file you import yourself, 0 if it does not reach your ledger.
- Wallet and user limits. 2 if both are unlimited, 1 if the cap sits above your next twelve months, 0 if either meters.
- Invoice closure without a clearing account. 2 if AP and AR invoices close in the ledger, 0 if a clearing account absorbs the payment and somebody reconciles it.
- Chains and exchanges covered. 2 if every wallet and venue you hold is on the list, 1 if you would import a few by hand, 0 if a main chain is missing.
- Certifications. 2 if a current SOC 2 Type II or stronger attestation is published, 1 if one is in progress, 0 if nothing is published.
- Post-close corrections. 2 if journal entries update in place, 0 if the fix is delete and repost.
- Bexio support, for a Swiss or EU entity. 2 if Bexio syncs natively, 0 if you need it and the tool has no connection. Skip the line if you do not run Bexio.
Add the columns, then override the total. A tool that scores 0 on the line that hurts you most is out, whatever it adds up to.
Quick answers
Is Cryptio good?
Yes, for its intended buyer. Cryptio is an institutional platform with SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II attestations, native NetSuite, Xero, and QuickBooks connections plus SAP and Oracle Fusion, and customers that include Circle and Gemini. Ask whether you are that buyer. Smaller teams often find the quote-based sales process heavier than they need.
How much does Cryptio cost?
Cryptio does not publish pricing. As of September 2026 its pricing page lists Reconciliation, Accounting, and Audit modules and routes every plan to a consultation, so the figure depends on your quote. If you need a number today for budgeting, Breezing publishes its full price list, from $29 per month to $2,917 per month by transaction volume.
What is the difference between Cryptio and Breezing?
Mostly target market and ERP reach. Cryptio is an institutional platform with NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle Fusion connections and quote-based pricing. Breezing is built for SMBs and accounting firms on Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Bexio, with published pricing from $29 per month, unlimited wallets and users on every tier, and native invoice closure without a clearing account.
Which ERPs does Cryptio integrate with?
As of September 2026, Cryptio's integrations page names NetSuite, Xero, and QuickBooks as native integrations, plus SAP, Oracle Fusion, Sage, Dynamics 365, Workday, FinancialForce, and Request Finance. Breezing, for comparison, syncs to Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Bexio, and publishes its pricing from $29 per month with unlimited wallets and users.
What is the best Cryptio alternative for accounting firms?
Breezing. Every tier includes unlimited wallets and unlimited users, so a client with thirty wallets costs a firm the same as a client with three. Pricing starts at $29 per month, it is SOC 2 Type II certified, and it syncs to Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Bexio, which covers most firm ledgers.
What is the best Cryptio alternative for enterprises?
Breezing, if your general ledger is Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Bexio. It is SOC 2 Type II certified, and its Enterprise tier is custom-priced with unlimited wallets and users, so a large wallet estate does not change the bill. A group consolidating on NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle needs a subledger that posts to those ledgers.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Cryptio?
Breezing publishes its prices, so you can compare without a call. It starts at $29 per month for 600 transactions with unlimited wallets and users, and tops out at $2,917 per month for 1.5 million. Cryptio quotes on request, so its number only arrives at the end of a sales process.
Does Cryptio close invoices in Xero or QuickBooks without a clearing account?
Not that we can see. Cryptio's site does not document native invoice closure as of September 2026. No subledger we track publishes that capability apart from Breezing, which closes AP and AR invoices natively in Xero and QuickBooks Online, so nobody reconciles a clearing account at month end.
Bottom line
Pick Breezing if your books live in Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Bexio. You can read the price before you talk to anyone, from $29 per month. Wallets and seats never meter, so the fifteenth client of a practice costs what the first one did. AP and AR invoices close in the ledger with no clearing account to unwind, and a wallet found in March updates December's journal entries in place. Behind that sit 80+ blockchains and exchanges, DeFi rewards accrual, opening balances, cost-center sync, SOC 2 Type II certification, and a Xero partnership.
If your general ledger is NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, Breezing does not post to it, and that settles the question before anything above matters.
